I index scholarly monographs, art books, and cookbooks. Recent work runs from Okwui Enwezor’s collected writings to a regional cookbook, with monographs in history, queer studies, and religion in between.

On the scholarly side, I specialize in art history and visual culture, with concentrated work in critical theory, queer and gender studies, film and media studies, and religious studies. Recent titles include The Age of Hobsbawm (Belknap/Harvard), Shakespeare and Queer Studies (Oxford), and a forthcoming MIT Press study of photography and AI.

For trade, I index cookbooks and food writing — Genuine Skagit Cooking, The Revolution Will Be Well Fed, and Green Gold (Counterpoint) — as well as narrative nonfiction, including Wendell Berry’s The Unsettling of America and A Place Called Yellowstone. I’m a serious home cook with deep familiarity with culinary traditions beyond the Western canon.

I’ve prepared indexes for Duke, Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Chicago, MIT, Cornell, Toronto, Michigan, and Kentucky, among others. In authors’ own words: “tremendously sensitive to the nuance of disciplinary terms of art”; “identified and synthesized patterns of thought in my book.”

Trained in visual culture and contemporary art, I’m comfortable across a wide range of titles, from dense theory to accessible trade, with particular strength in interdisciplinary work.
