The American Society for Indexing (ASI) is pleased to announce the 2024 ASI Indexing Awards competition. You are invited to submit a final PDF version (publisher's copy) of a book that you indexed with a publication date of 2022 or 2023 for consideration in either the scholarly/technical or trade book categories.
The first-place winners will each receive $500. Submissions will be accepted between July 31, 2024 and September 27, 2024. For a complete list of rules and to enter this year's competition, visit here.
The new indexing awards were developed by the Awards committee, chaired by Amy Hall. One of the committee's goals was to address the criticism that ASI's previous awards privileged multivolume scholarly books. To better reflect the variety of work that indexers do, the new awards are divided into two broad categories, offering ASI members a greater opportunity to win recognition for their indexing skills.
