I create high quality back-of-the-book indexes for both scholarly and trade books. I received my Ph.D in English Literature from the University of Iowa, where I specialized in American literature and the history of publishing.

As a book historian, I am acutely aware of the value that an intuitive index adds to a book. I bring my academic training to bear on each index I create, carefully reading your text to ensure that every important topic and theme is easily accessible to the reader.

I am also a music writer, contributing to Pitchfork, Bandcamp Daily, The Wire, and other outlets. My book on the legal history of sampling in music, Plunderphonics, was published by Bloomsbury.
