Need a back-of-the-book index? I’m a former librarian turned children’s book author who’s passionate about helping readers of all ages find what they’re looking for in books.

I learned how to create an index while completing my master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS). As a librarian, I spent years helping readers search for the information they needed and find what they remembered reading before.

As a children’s book author, I’ve explored how kids ask questions and see the world, as well as learning about traditional publishing processes from start to finish (and all the deadlines along the way!)

And as a curious person, I’m an avid reader about my own interests. I’ve been cooking, gardening, and making things for decades. Ask me about baker’s percentages, cyclamen propagation, cold connections methods for jewelry, math for knitters and quilters, sewing espadrilles, or tips for drawing digitally with Procreate!

If you’re looking for a back-of-the-book index that’s clear, functional, and will give readers what they need to access what’s in your book, please contact me. My specialties include children’s nonfiction, teen/YA nonfiction, and adult trade books for a general audience, especially cookbooks, gardening/horticulture books, and craft/DIY books. I also enjoy puzzling out the best ways for readers to access books that are less commonly indexed, such as comics collections.
